Every day is another heartbreak
Each AM I wonder what form it'll take
A rainstorm or an earthquake?
But somehow I manage to find scraps of joy among the rubble
Like a brown-eyed Ariel
Making treasures out of shipwrecks
I guess she never could stay out of trouble


Or was that Belle?

She found beauty in a beast
And taught me
That a rose with thorns smells just as sweet
